Terra Mining and Norton Gold Fields enter Joint Venture Agreement

Terra Mining is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Joint Venture Agreement with Norton Gold Fields for mining services works at the Binduli Gold Project near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia.

The anticipated duration of the agreement is five years, with Stage 1 operations commencing immediately for a scope that initially includes site civil works and ROM construction. The investment by Norton Gold Fields in Binduli, and the associated multi-million-dollar agreement with Terra Mining, is a further expansion of the existing commercial relationship between the organisations. With four open pits and a mine life expectancy of over 10 years, the project’s proximity to Kalgoorlie and planned development of industry-leading site facilities is projected to provide substantial benefit to the local economy and enduring employment opportunities throughout the region.

Ree Dai, Terra Mining’s Managing Director, spoke to the commencement of the Joint Venture at Binduli, stating “We’re proud of the strong working relationship we have developed with Norton Gold Fields at Paddington Operations. We view this new opportunity as justification of our commercial strategies and client-focussed operating methodology. Our works with Norton to date have uniquely positioned us to deliver to the impeccable standards expected by them – we’re committed to ensuring we continue to build on this successful platform when commencing this week at Binduli.”

At the contracts peak, Terra is projected to have a workforce of upwards of 300 personnel on-site. “Our HR team and resourcing partners have been busy planning and mapping our requirements for this additional project, with works commencing immediately,” added Mr Dai, concluding “We’re excited at the possibility this presents not only for Terra, but for the substantial number of mining professionals that Binduli can provide ongoing opportunities for. Our focus on local content and indigenous engagement sees us viewed by industry as a provider of choice – we look forward to burnishing that reputation throughout this this project at Binduli.”
