Our Board is responsible for ensuring that Terra's operations, strategy and partnerships integrate effectively to deliver outcomes.
Huaisheng Peng
Mr Huaisheng Peng was appointed a Director of Terra Mining in 2025 and holds responsibility for aligning Terra and JCHX’s strategic operations and future expansion plans.
Following an accomplished academic career which saw him progress from an entry-level engineer to Vice President of the China Nonferrous Engineering and Research Institute, he has held several executive and governance positions in some of China’s largest mining and metals management corporations. He remains a Doctoral Supervisor and a professor-level Senior Engineer.
Commercial positions Mr Huaisheng has held include; Executive Vice General Manager of China ENFI Engineering Corporation; Vice Chairman of Chinalco Overseas Holdings Co., Ltd.; Chairman of Chinalco Peru Mining Co., Ltd.; Vice President of China Copper Co., Ltd as well as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Chinalco Mining Corporation International.
He is currently the President of JCHX Mining, a strategic partner in Terra Mining and majority shareholder.
Zhou Hu
An experienced and widely respected mining executive, Mr Zhou Hu was appointed a Director of Terra Mining in 2025.
Following the attainment of his Bachelors Degree, he commenced his corporate career in mining with JCHX Mining in 2003 and has since risen through the organisation to hold progressively more senior roles, reflecting a boots to boardroom story synonymous with that of Terra’s. His roles at JCHX have included managing both the Kailin and Pulang Project Departments, progressing to become the General Manager of the Southern Branch. He was appointed Assistant to the President in January 2021, and from March 2022 performed this role concurrently as Chairman of Yunnan JCHX Mining Management.
He currently serves as the Vice President and Chief Economist of JCHX Mining Management, our strategic partner and majority shareholder. He is responsible for ensuring Terra and JCHX’s resource planning, capital discipline and fiscal positioning are aligned.
Ree Dai
An internationally renowned mining executive with an extensive bank of experience and proven track-record of success throughout South-East Asia, Africa and Australia, Ree founded Terra Mining in 2019 and has been its Managing Director throughout.
Prior to founding Terra, he held several senior management and executive positions for a variety of notable mining operations – including NRW Holdings, PT Bukit Makmur Istindo Nikeltama and PT Bright Wit IH.
Ree’s steady leadership and commitment to innovation have been integral to Terra’s story of growth and success.
Today, Ree remains responsible for our strategic direction and operational fulfilment across all functions and lines of business.
Peter Ernest Wong, Chief Financial Officer
Terra Mining’s Chief Financial Officer, Peter brings a wealth of international experience in financial control and auditing to the team. A Chartered Accountant, Peter’s expertise in risk identification, mitigation and management has seen his involvement span across a variety of key senior roles in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong in his thirty-year career.
His fields of speciality have seen him work extensively within securities and commodities trading. Prior to joining the Terra team he was the Head of Regional Internal Audit for Jardine Lloyd Thomson throughout Asia.
Andrew Theobald, Project Director
The consummate modern mining professional, Andrew’s background in large scale open-cut operations stretches back almost 25 years. Commencing originally with BHP in Western Australia, Andrew’s career has seen him oversee projects in Australia, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and Fiji.
His broad understanding of technical operations in diverse conditions is backed by his key executive and managerial knowledge. Having successfully delivered diverse projects with values over $1B AUD, Andrew specialises in greenfields mining project development, deploying his skills to nurture projects from their infancy through to production maturity.
Barry Cook, Chief Operations Officer
Barry is an engineer with a difference. Following graduation from Melbourne University, Barry followed his passion for plant and equipment maintenance, pursuing professional opportunities that have seen him gain experience within industry nationwide.
Having held senior roles across maintenance, business development and operations management across Australia, today Barry is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our asset management planning across all operations.
Dave Tilbrook, Executive Consultant
Dave is an executive consultant with Terra with a broad portfolio covering infrastructure supply chain management and resourcing. A Director of Trinvest REI Asset Management, Dave’s broad experience is deployed in assisting Terra to ensure site logistics and infrastructure remains in excess of the highest industry standard.
Dave’s technical experience is complemented by his substantial managerial and executive background, having previously been an EGM of EMECO’s Australian assets and a mining strategy executive with governance responsibilities for publicly listed holding companies.
